Marion-Elizabeth Ann Sterne, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 5:30am at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Elizabeth was born on October 28, 1933 in Franklin County to Andy and Marion (Hutinson) Buffo. She married Charles Sterne on September 17, 1955 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2004. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Senior Circle and the Quilting Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all. Survivors include: Sons: Charles T. Sterne of Plainsfield, IL Michael A. Sterne of New Lenox, IL Mark W. Sterne of Shereville, IN Grandchildren: Kevin Sterne Elizabeth Sterne Joshua Sterne She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10am until the time of mass at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Foundation and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL 62959.
