Elizabeth M. Stewart

Marion- Elizabeth M. Stewart, age 75, of Marion, passed away on November 12th, 2011 at Marion Rehab and Nursing. Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be held at the Blue Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16th at 11am. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 5-8pm on Tuesday, November 15th. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Dr. Bob Wagner will officiate. Mrs. Stewart was born on December 24th, 1935 in Marion, IL, the daughter of Paul M. and Alice L. (Newton) Galyean. She married Bobby L. Stewart on April 5th, 1958 in Marion IL. She was an auxiliary member of the Eagles Post 2457 and the American Legion Post 147. She was formerly employed in Northern IL before returning to Marion. Mrs. Stewart and her husband were former owners of Stewart’s Lounge. Mrs. Stewart is survived by: Husband, Bobby L. Stewart, of Marion IL Daughter: Georgia Ann Allen of Romeoville IL Son: Michael and Peggy Henderson of Harvest AL Sister: Marlene Casey of Johnston City IL Grandchildren: Alicia (Jeff) Wyatt, Marilyn Henderson, Michael “Buddy” Henderson, Andrea Allen, Robert Evetts Great-Grandchildren: Keller Wyatt, Paige Wyatt and Alex Wyatt and David Allen Several Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her father, mother and son; Bobby Stewart Jr.
