Elizabeth Hanks-Hearn

Marion-Elizabeth Kay Hanks-Hearn, 50, passed away at 2pm on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Elizabeth was born on February 24, 1964 in Williamson County to Gilbert and Edith (Franklin) Hanks.  She married Roger Hearn in Paducah, KY on April 23, 1982.  He survives of Marion. Elizabeth worked as a cook at Lincoln School. She enjoyed going to yard sales, baking pies on Sundays and loved spending time with her grandbaby.  She will be missed by all. Survivors include: Husband-Roger Hearn of Marion Son-Michael Hearn of Pontiac, IL Daughter-Brittany Martinez and husband Eugenio Granddaughter-Elizabeth Magdalena Martinez Step daughters: Lynn Morneweg of Energy Gayla Miner of Orient Angela Wagner and husband John of Johnston City Six step grandchildren Brothers and Sisters: Debbie Kelton of Marion Mickey and Carleta Hanks of Marion Keith and Jeanie Hanks of Buncombe Gilbert and Cynthia Hanks of Crab Orchard Rebecca and Ted Goins of Goreville Nancy and Terry Rawson of Murphysboro Tracy and Paula Hanks of Marion Lacey Hanks of Marion Mary Melissa Hanks of Jonesboro Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews Close friends-Marguetta, Pam, Barbra and Gina Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Donny Colson officiating.  Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL  62959.
