Eleanor J. Grace PITTSBURG-Eleanor J Grace, 70, of Pittsburg passed away at 12:20 PM, Monday, January 7, 2008 at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 11, 2008 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jeff Odom and Reverend Roger Odom officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery east of Marion. Memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and the Family; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Grace was born June 13, 1937 in Williamson County, Illinois to Samuel Omer and Estella Afton (Bearden) Tanner. She married James Richard Davis on October 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death. She then married Billy Gene Motsinger who also preceded her in death. She then married James Grace and he survives. Survivors include husband James; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda K. and Nathan Nutter of Largo, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Sue Davis of Buncombe; daughter and son-in-law, Diana L. and Stanley Shadowens of Pittsburg; son, Mark E. Davis of Crothersville, Indiana; son, Russell Davis of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Ray Harris, daughters Betty Douglas and Bonnie Grace; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Roger Freeman; son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Renee Grace; son, Albert Grace; daughter and son-in-law Marybell and Jami Mason; sisters Rena Richey, Kathrine Parker, and Pat Gaston all of Marion; several grandchildren, several great-grand children, and several great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Tommy Simmons. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sammy Tanner; nephew, Danny Davis. Mrs. Grace attended Walnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to play “Pogo” on the computer and to go fishing; she also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. The family would also like to thank Diana for taking care of her mother during her last days.
