Creal Springs-Edward Lee Davis, 85, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home. Edward was born on June 13, 1929 in Stonefort to Harrison and Elsie (Barwick) Davis.  He married Ileta Harris in Creal Springs on March 29, 1955.  She survives of Creal Springs. Edward served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a coal miner and he enjoyed coon hunting, tinkering with cars and could fix about anything.  Survivors include: Wife-Ileta Davis of Creal Springs Children: Susan and Lonny Reams of Pittsburg Becky and Travis Mattingly of Angelville Grandchildren: Tosha and Tommy Bonds of Marion Benjamin Reams of Pittsburg Great grandchildren: Mason Bonds Kaitlyn Bonds Kirstie and Josh Newsom Great-great granddaughter-Nevaeh Newsom Sisters: Alma Kelly Lou Feltz Reva and Bill Berard Pearl and William Kirman Brother-Kenneth and Linda Davis He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dortha Bailey and Wilma Davis; brothers, William Davis, James Davis and Johnny Davis and son, Daniel Lee Davis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jerry Schell and Rev. Deon Baker officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with Military Rites being performed by the Marion VFW Post #1301 and the National Guard.  Visitation will be on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL  62959.
