Edna Louise Rush MARION-Edna Louise Rush, 80, of Marion passed away at 1:45 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2007 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Roger Odom and Reverend Gaylon Parks officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Rush was born on January 18, 1927 in Dykersburg, Illinois to Thomas and Goldie Ann (Killman) Powell. She married Berchard G. Rush at Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard, Illinois on April 7, 1962. He survives of Marion. Survivors include her husband; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Laura Rush; grandchildren Derik Rush, and Megan Rush; bothers Charles W. Powell and Fred L. Powell and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis Powell and Zayne Powell; three sisters Nell Gray Trover, Anna Marie Parks, and Lena Nolen. Mrs. Rush was a homemaker and a member of the Freedon Freewill Baptist Church. She and Berchard made their home in Geneva, Illinois for thirty years before returning to Southern Illinois.
