Edna Ellis

Edna Ellis MARION-Edna Ellis, 92, of Lake Forrest, California formerly Marion of passed away at 12:15 PM, Monday, October 15, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 22, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Tim Goodman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Creal Springs. Mrs. Ellis was born October 26, 1914 in Williamson County, Illinois to Charles Leroy “Roy” and Eva Alice “Allie” (Collard) Atwood. Survivors include her brother, Kenneth Atwood and friend, Jaunita Samuels; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Patsy Atwood; nieces, Venetta Brys, Beverly Kelley and Becky Jack; nephews, Kenneth Earl Atwood, Gordon Atwood and Charles Atwood; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Ellis; brothers, Norris, Roger and Donald Atwood; and sister, Dorothy Alexander. Mrs. Ellis lived several years in Weatherford, Texas. She was employed at a Medical Clinic and performed secretarial duties for four different doctors. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Weatherford and enjoyed singing in the choir. In 1976 she moved to Southern California and lived with her brother, Don after his wife passed away.
