Edna Ann Webb
GOREVILLE-Edna Ann Webb, 70, of Goreville passed away at 11:45 PM, Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Community of Christ (Webb) Church in Tunnel Hill with High Priest Glenn Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Webb Cemetery in Tunnel Hill. Memorials may be made to the Bob Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund; envelopes are available from the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Edna was born February 21, 1939 in rural Goreville to Virgil Mighell and Mamie (Bloodworth) Mighell. She married Bobby Dale Webb on July 27, 1957 at Mt. Zion Church in Buncombe. He preceded her in death April 23, 2006.
Survivors include her three children, daughters Tammy Rowe and husband Harry and Cindy Parmley and husband Gary; son Steve Webb and wife Angie; ten grandchildren, Brittney Lipe and husband Mathew, Lindsay De La Cruz and husband Pedro, Andrew Rowe, Chris Parmley, Kenton Parmley, Caitlyn Parmley, Nathan Webb, Alison Webb, Braden Webb, and Kanon Webb; and two great-grandchildren, Mason Lipe and Ethan Lipe.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Edna graduated from Goreville High School in 1957. She was the class Valedictorian and DAR Good Citizen. She stayed home to raise her children throughout most of her life and later worked at Goreville Concrete Products. She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother who loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She attended the Community of Christ (Webb) Church in Tunnel Hill and earlier in her life was a member and former President of the Goreville Womens Club and a dedicated member of the Goreville School PTA.
Edna enjoyed spending every minute of her time with her family especially hosting Sunday dinners as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings.
