Edith E. Vancil MARION-Edith E. Vancil, 88, of Marion passed away at 6:05 PM, Monday, April 6, 2009 at her residence. In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no services. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mrs. Vancil was born on July 31, 1920 in New Goshen, Indiana to Reese Wayne and Ada Beatrice (Pickrell) Swaggerty. She married Wallas Vancil in 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, he preceded her in death on November 17, 1985. Survivors includes several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Barbara England. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wallas; and 1 brother. Mrs. Vancil was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and had been a personnel director for the K-Mart Corporation. She will missed by all who knew her.
