Edith E. Roberts

Creal Springs- Edith Elaine Roberts, 66, of Creal Springs, passed from this life to be forever with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 6:40 PM, Saturday, June 28, 2013 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion. Edith was born on May 9, 1947 in Pleasant View, KY to Roy and Ellen (Bird) Mauney.  She married Louie Allen Roberts on September 4, 1965 in Cincinnati, OH.  Together they shared 47 wonderful years together. She was homemaker and a faithfully attended Southern Illinois Worship Center in Herrin.  She was a precious woman who enjoyed her church and visiting with families.  She most enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Survivors include- Loving husband- Louie Allen Roberts of Creal Springs Daughter- Angela Lynn Dense and husband Joel of Willard, MO Grandson- Jordan Dense of Willard, MO Granddaughters- Alexia and Courtney Dense of Willard, MO Sister- Melba Killman and husband Thomas of Creal Springs Brother- Dewey Mauney of Creal Springs Brother- Robert Mauney of Pleasant View, KY Brother in law- Lenville Roberts of Muncie, IN Sister in law- Mary Roberts of Salt Lake City, UT Sister in law- Becky Mauney of Harrisburg Several nieces and nephews and a host of God’s children who prayed for her and loved her in this life She was preceded in death by her parents, brother- Blaine Mauney and two sisters- Wanda Perry and Louise Buckner. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.  Rev. Don Colson and Rev. Carl Stroder will officiate.  Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery in Creal Springs.  Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Monday, July 1, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
