Earnest Gareld “Dobber” Anderson
Creal Springs-Earnest Gareld “Dobber” Anderson, 79, of Creal Springs passed away at 2:35 AM, Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, with Reverend Ray Conley and Reverend Danny Gray officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Simmons Cemetery in Creal Springs. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by Marion VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147 and the National Guard. Memorials may be made to the Simmons Cemetery Fund.
Mr. Anderson was born in Williamson County on March 10, 1927 to Robert Milas and Ruby Faye (Harris) Anderson. He married Mildred Segers in Piggott, Arkansas on March 23, 1949. She survives.
He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law Darrell and Jetta Anderson, daughter and son-in-law Carol Dian and Michael Green, and son and daughter-in-law Mark and Andrea Anderson, all of Creal Springs; grandchildren Doug, Dan, Blake, Rachelle, Alley, and Amellia Anderson, and Brandon and Christopher Green.; great-grandchildren Ethan, Cole, McKenzie, Hannah, Autumn, Katie, and Aubrey; sister and brother-in-law Loudene and Harold Thompson, brothers and sisters-in-law Albert and Lillie Anderson, and Ralph and Sue Anderson, sister and brother-in-law Lena and Pat Hollock, and sister-in-laaw June Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and bothers James Robert Anderson and William Anderson.
Mr. Anderson attended the Mount Moriah Church where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was a U.M.W.A. member and He had been a coal miner at Peabodyâs Will Scarlet mine and retired after forty years. He was also a rancher who loved his horses.
