Earl Harrison Walker MARION- Earl Harrison Walker, 84, of Marion, passed away at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with his nephew, Reverend Deon Walker and his son-in-law Pastor Donald L. King officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Walker was born on September 17, 1921 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Ermie Earl and Ella (Jones) Walker. He married Claude "Claudia" Elisabeth Legat McCoy on February 21, 1975, and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Catherine and Howard Ziegler of Carbondale, Joyce and Donald King of Thompsonville, Corinne and Robert Steveson of Marion, and Daryl McCoy of West Frankfort; grandchildren, Lisa and Robbie Lindhorst, Sean King, Devin and Tammy King, Leonard King, Michelle and Efren Canizales, Jason Steveson, Jeremy and Della Steveson, Joshua Steveson, Nicholas and Vanessa McCoy, and Mason McCoy; five great grandchildren; nephew and wife, Deon and Geneva Walker; niece, Jerry Juanita Jones; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Cecil Walker. Mr. Walker was a good Christian man and attended the First Church of God in Marion. He retired from Pepsi after 29 years of service. He was a loving husband and father.
