Kathleen Meneese Marion- Kathleen Meneese, 81, of Marion, left this earthly life on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 7:30 PM at Parkway Manor in Marion. Funeral services for Mrs. Meneese are scheduled at Blue Funeral Home in Marion for Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Noon with Reverend Mike Hood officiating. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday and convene at the service hour. Burial will follow the services on Saturday in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements. Kathleen was born on Tuesday, September 2, 1930 in Williamson County to William Walker & Lillian (Parks) Peebels. She married Robert H. Meneese on Saturday, June 18, 1949 in Piggott, AR. They shared 48 years together until his death on Saturday, August 19, 1997. She leaves behind her children, Kathy Frey, Tammy & Kevin Hill and Jeff & Julie Meneese (all of Marion); grandchildren, Melissa Frey, Sara Frey & Fiancé’ Robert Rainey, Christian Hill, Matthew Hill, Justin Boaz, Tyler Meneese, Nicholas Meneese, Michael Meneese and Emily Meneese & brother, Ronnie & Ellen Peebels of Simpson. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert; sister, Jeanette Bays; brothers, Gene, Tom, Rex and Bill Peebels & son-in-law, Barry Frey. Kathleen was formerly employed at Fabick and Olin Matheson. She was a bookkeeper for Bays Grocery Store. Mrs. Meneese was a longtime member of Scottsboro Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
