Dorothy Taylor

Marion-Dorothy Mae Taylor, 80, passed away at 11:47 am on Monday, January 27^th, 2014 at Herrin Hospital. Dorothy was born July 1^st, 1933 in Chilton, WI to Ira and Ruby (Smoot) Phillips. She married Donald Taylor on June 11^th, 1988 in Waukegan IL. He survives of Marion. Dorothy was a member of the Women’s Aux Post 147 American Legion in Marion and the Bakers & Confectionery Union. She loved cooking and canning for her friends and family. Dorothy will be missed by all. Survivors include: Husband-Donald Taylor of Marion Children: Diane & Ron McDaniel of Appleton, WI Steve Jorgensen of Tomah, WI Jim& Donna Stepp of Palatine, IL Alan & Dawn Stepp of Hometown, IL Step children: James Jackson and Janin of Galloway, IL Denise Krohn and Craig of Winthrop Harbor, IL Gary Taylor of Marion Dale Taylor of Peoria, IL Lois Waldman of Hendrickson, NV Glen & Laura Taylor of Marion Teresa & Don Jones of Waukegan, IL Siblings: Alice Ternock of Racine, IL Barb & Keith Marchant of Green Bay, WI Mary & Dean Wildes of Green Bay, WI Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and some Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Parents; sons, Wayne Jorgensen and Mark Jorgensen; step daughter, Shirley Hadley; brothers and sisters, Alan Phillips, Leonard Phillips, Herb Phillips, Dean Phillips, Louise Wildes, Floyd Phillips and Carl Phillips. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Alan Summers officiating. Visitation will also be on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the V.A. Hospital and the American Legion Post 147 and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL 62959.
