TUNNEL HILL - Dorothy Pearl Hauser, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Services for Mrs. Hauser will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 11, in Blue Funeral Home in Goreville, with Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, March 12, in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, where she will be placed to rest next to her husband, William. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Dorothy was born in St. Clair County, to Marion Manley and Helen Cecelia (Burgdorf) Youngman Monday, June 4, 1928. She married William Wayne Hauser Sr., in St. Charles, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1966. He preceded her in death Monday, Jan. 14, 1991 after 24 years of marriage. Mrs. Hauser is survived by her children, Steven Charles Jacobs of Laguna Wood, Calif., and Joseph Marion Jacobs of Tunnel Hill; stepchildren, Gerald Wayne and Roberta Hauser and Sharon and William Walton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Eugene Youngman of East St. Louis and Shirley Mayville of New Atkins. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Helen; husband, William; son, Peter Richard Jacobs; step-daughter, Patricia Pino; and brother, Donald Youngman. The family wishes to express Mrs. Hauser was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Dorothy lived by her faith, loving God and Jesus Christ. She has reached her ultimate reward, being welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord.
