Dorothy Mount

Avon Park, FL-Dorothy Gentry Mount, age 93, went to be with her Lord at 2:40 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Good Shepard Hospice, Bud and Donna Somers House in Sebring, Florida. Dorothy was born March 21, 1920 in Marion, Illinois to Clarence and Esta (Keistler) Stokes.  She married William E. “Duban” Gentry in Marion, Illinois on September 23, 1948.  He preceded her in death.  She married Earle E. Mount on October 1, 1982 who also preceded her in death. Dorothy was a homemaker and mother to two daughters, one son and two step-daughters.  She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida. Dorothy is survived by daughters, Melinda Lehnherr of Springfield, IL; Beth Ann (Michael) Scanlan of Brisben, Queensland, Australia; son, Doug (Suzie) Gentry, Avon Park, FL; grandchildren Tiffany Tillery, Jason Boester and Greg Gentry; several great-grandchildren; step-daughters Pam Foster, Alamo, CA; Debbie (Bob) Reynolds, Alamo, CA; step-grandchildren, Curt Foster, Jamie Lyn Pierce, Daren Yafai, Kim Donati and several great-step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; infant sister, Marjorie Stokes and infant brother, Harold Eugene Stokes. Services will be on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, Illinois with Rev. Tim Ozment officiating.  Interment will be in Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy, Illinois.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Greens Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 912, Avon Park, FL  33825 or Good Shepard Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL  33870.

I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry for your loss. I would have come to the funeral home but was out - of-town. I would loved to have seen you after all this time. We share a lot of memories. Hope you are doing ok. Shari
