Dorothy M. Crawford MARION-Dorothy M. Crawford, 88, of Marion passed away at 9:30 PM, Monday, October 2, 2006 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Allen T. Speer officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Prospect Cemetery in Saline County. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Crawford was born on August 14, 1918 in Saline County, Illinois to Edward and Gertie (Fife) Hutchinson. She married John Emil Crawford on January 7, 1942 in Jackson, Missouri, he preceded her in death on June 13, 1977. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Mary Emma and Melvin Fisher of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Ruth Crawford of Jerseyville; daughter and son-in-law, Phillis and Terry Peach of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Michael D. and Shirley Fisher, Mark and Sheila Fisher, Cindy Gamm, Larry Jr. and Terry Crawford, Jeff and Becky Gamm, Melanie and John Gelgut, John and Angie Crawford, April and Chris McLaughlin and Julie Gamm; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, Clarence Hutchinson, Oscar Hutchinson and Reverend Mickey Hutchinson and an infant brother. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the North American Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a homemaker, a very good cook and she enjoyed her family.
