Marion-Dormand Cole, 86, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.
Dormand was born on September 27, 1930 in Paragould, Arkansas to Chester and Beatrice (Rogers) Cole. He married Barbara Ross on December 23, 1950 in Senath, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2014.
Dormand served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Mark Fisher officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
