Doris Mae Langley MARION- Doris Mae Langley, 73, of Marion passed away at 2:15 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Gregg Gibbs and John Hartkoph officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Memorials may be made to Heartland Christian Church or the Arthritis Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion IL 62959. Mrs. Langley was born August 31, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Christopher and Edith Florence (Cookley) Jerdon. She married Carl Adams and he preceded her in death, she later married Richard Langley and he preceded her in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Steven Carl and Cindy Adams of Crainville; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rick Bowers of Johnston City; son, Mike Adams of Makanda; grandchildren, Jason Adams and Karlee and Shane Holderfield; great grandchild, Nathaniel Paul Holderfield; and sister-in-law, Josie Jerdon. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; granddaughter, Ria Danielle Bowers; brothers, John Harold Jerdon and Thomas Jerdon; and infant brothers, Louis Vance Jerdon and Karl Jerdon. Mrs. Langley was a member of the Heartland Christian Church. She retired as a LPN after many years.
