Doris J. Mandrell

Marion-Doris Mandrell, 75, passed away at 2:10am on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Doris was born on May 9, 1938 in Paulton to Dixon and Jean (Hastings) Roberts.  She married Hubert Mandrell on August 4, 1957 at Arnold View Church south of Crab Orchard. He survives of Marion. Doris attended Harbor Church of Lake of Egypt.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her grandkids. Survivors include: Husband-Hubert Mandrell Children: Steve Mandrell and wife Susan of Marion Bruce Mandrell and wife Pamela of Longmont, Colorado Treva Purnell of Marion Grandchildren: Patrick Bays and wife Wilma Amber Mandrell Dustin Mandrell Phillip Mandrell Travis Purnell Trent Purnell Tyler Purnell Jessica Bradley and husband Seth Nicolas Mandrell Great Grandchildren: Hayley Bays Jade Marie Beasley Hayley Guibault Justin Guibault Several adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren in Illinois and Colorado Several nieces and nephews Sister-Sue Osborne of Florida Brother-Larry Roberts and wife Linda of Marion She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be at 9pm on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 7pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL  62959.
