Energy-Donna L. Wilson, 83, passed away at April 7, 2015 at her home.
Donna was born to Rev. James Elmer and Jessie (Ellis) Grisham on November 21, 1931 in Raleigh, IL.
She graduated from Harrisburg Township High School in 1949. She then moved to Springfield and worked in the Governor’s office. She moved to Marion in 1957 and was the secretary to Director of Universal Match Corp. Donna married Stanley F. Wilson in 1959. They owned and operated Wilson Asphalt Company and Three Star Construction until Stanley’s death in 1988. Donna then became certified with Illinois Department of Transportation as a minority contractor, retiring in 1993.
She has been active in Marion Junior Club, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the VFW Auxiliary. Donna was a loyal friend to everyone and a respected business woman. She enjoyed watching Joel Osteen on Sunday mornings and liked sending cards out on special occasions to family and friends.
She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Steven and Debbie Wilson; two granddaughters, Stephanie Diane Wilson and Sammie Kay Wilson of Johnston City; great grandson, Jackson Page and special friend, Debbie Smith
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Doris Wilson and Sue Brewer and two brothers, Charles Grisham and Roger Grisham.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11am at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
