Donna L. Colyer

Donna L. Colyer, age 69, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Marion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Marion, Illinois.

Donna was born April 24, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of Robert and Angela (Krupinski) Colyer. Donna grew up and graduated high school in Baltimore, then attended college where she studied business. She later moved to Mt. Carmel, IL and managed Jake's Tire. She studied to become an EMT and worked at Williamson County Ambulance as an EMT and later became the Office Manager. She married Richard A. Bethel in October 2006. Donna loved her many cats and avidly studied genealogy. She enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffett and considered herself a Parrot Head.

She is survived by her husband Richard A. Bethel of Marion, IL; one stepdaughter, Jessica L. Jacobs of Marion, IL; one sister, Susan (William) Markman of Albion, IL; and her two step-grandchildren Jaiden Jacobs, and Kian Jacobs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Angela Colyer and one brother, Steve Foxx.
