Donald Wayne Martis MARION-Donald Martis, 68, of Marion passed away at 3:08 AM, Friday, March 28, 2008 at Whispering Pines in Marion. According to his wishes Mr. Martis will be cremated and no services will be held. Mr. Martis was born May 3, 1939 in Gilman, Illinois to Thomas and Hazel Jenny (Allgood) Martis. Survivors include his Daughter, Jennifer and Brian Scally of Baltimore, Maryland; Daughter Amy Martis of Baltimore, Maryland; Grandchildren Mary Kathryn, Grace, Meghan, as well as one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Jane. Donald was licensed in Illinois as a Tree Expert, and was the former owner of Blooming Grove Tree Clinic in Bloomington, IL. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
