Donald R. Mangrum
PITTSBURGDonald R. Mangrum, 65, of Pittsburg passed away at 10:15 PM, Monday, July 27, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Mike Glasco officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, east of Marion.
Donald was born March 2, 1944 in Cobden to Jack Orvil and Dorothy Ellen (Murphy) Mangrum. He married Nancy Dixon on July 13, 1963 in Marion; together they shared 46 years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Mangrum; children, Donald Ray, Jr. and Teresa Mangrum, Ellen and Laren McFarland, Mickey and Tina Mangrum, Keith and Krista Mangrum and Rickey Mangrum; grandchildren, Toshia and William Kimble, Tiffany Mangrum, Travis Mangrum, Cerria Kirby, Brittany Mangrum, Austin Mangrum, Kayla McFarland, Kaci McFarland, Dylan Mangrum, Jake Mangrum, Sarah Mangrum, Justice Mangrum, Kyle Mangrum and Cory Mangrum; great grandson, Ezekiel Kimble; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jackie Lee and Nadra Mangrum, Harold Buddy and Mary Mangrum and Bobby and Renee Mangrum; sisters and brother-in-law, Glenda Mangrum and Marsha and Andy Hart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Joe Mangrum and Jerry Michael Mangrum.
Donald was a truck driver and was working at Rural King. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending auctions.
