Donald L. Escue

MARION - Donald L. Escue, 72, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Donald was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Peoria, the son of Homer and Vivian (Hudgens) Escue. He married Frances Rendleman on Aug. 1, 1959, in Marion. She survives in Marion. Donald worked as a carpenter. He loved to work in the yard and gardening and he also liked to go fishing. Other survivors include his children, Robin Scott and Theresa Escue of Stonefort and Gayla Dawn Escue of O'Fallon; and two grandchildren, Megan Escue and Arianna Escue. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert "Bob" Escue; sister, Betty Craig; and infant brother. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association . Envelopes will be available and accepted at the funeral home.
