Donald L. Garlich Pittsburg—Donald L. Garlich, 66, of Pittsburg passed away at 8:07 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home with family by his side. Memorial services for Mr. Garlich are scheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Reverend Jeff Rush & Larry Garlich will officiate. There will be a short visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5:00-6:00 PM and a second visitation Saturday night after the memorial services from 7:00-9:00 PM. Memorial donations are suggested to one of the following: Hospice of Southern Illinois, Faith Chapel Church or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Donald was born in Belleville to Ray & L. Ulanee (Bowie) Garlich on Saturday, August 17, 1946. He married Brenda House in Maui, HI on Monday, March 17, 1997; she survives of Pittsburg. Mr. Garlich is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Jordan Garlich & Partner, Travis Young of St. Louis, Ryan Sobel of Pittsburg and Jason & Stephanie Sobel of Nagadoches, TX; grandchildren, Maxwell Sobel, Harrison Sobel and one on the way; brother, Larry & Elaine Garlich; one niece and several nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jacalyn Garlich. Mr. Garlich was a real estate land manager by trade, but he also dabbled in leather work and crafting knives. He loved music, hunting and fishing and raising horses.
