Creal Springs- Donald Eugene Ragain, 77, of Creal Springs, passed away at 10:00 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Marion V A Medical Facility with his loving and caring wife, Shirley Ann Ragain, by his side.
Donald was born on October 30, 1936 in Williamson County, Illinois to Lindell Dane and Lucy Ellis (Dalton) Ragain. He married Shirley Ann Norris. She survives of Creal Springs.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated his own trucking company for many years .He was civically involved and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was a member of Cana Baptist Church in Creal Springs. He was a loving and caring husband, father, step-father, grand-father and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His wife of 35 years- Shirley Ann Ragain of Creal Springs
Daughter- Debbie Ritchie
Son- Randy Ragain
Four step-children:

Rick Wade and wife Beth

Christina, John, Casi, Holly, Scott, Randy, Marcus, Dustin, Kyle and Hannah

John Mark, Warren, Sawyer
Alia, Brooklyn, Connor
Easton and Jaylee

Sister- Sue Ragain
Aunt- Bessie McGuire
Several nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents- Len and Lucy Ragain, sister- Wanda Rye and two brothers- Boots and Buddy.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Rev. John Howat will officiate. Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Military rites will be performed at graveside by the Marion VFW and American Legion Posts with assistance from the Illinois National Guard. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Sunday at the funeral home.
