Dilla Tate

Dilla Beth Tate Chesterfield, MO–Dilla Beth Tate, 88, formerly of Marion, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Delmar Gardens in Chesterfield surrounded by her family. Services will be held at Blue Funeral Home in Marion on Wednesday October 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, October 13, 2010. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Dilla was born on June 1, 1922 to Thomas and Allie McPheron in Johnston City, Illinois. She married Gerald Webb on August 2, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1972. She later married Herbert “Joe” Tate on September 3, 1983. He preceded her on September 25, 1991. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Jeralyn & Doug Thompson; step-children, Bill & Laura Tate, Mike & Margaret Brown and David & Kim Tate; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Yvonne Gore, LaWanda Hutchison, Marieta Stallings and Charles Webb; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Dilla was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion for 55 years. She has spent the past 8 years living in Chesterfield, MO to be near her loved ones.
