Dewey W. Duncan MARION-Dewey W. Duncan, 66 of Marion passed away at 9:42 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Dewey was born on May 14, 1943 in Harrisburg to Wayne and Lavena (Simmons). He married Joy Bramlet on February 12, 1994 in Marion; together they shared 15 years of marriage. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Joy of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mark Miles of Thompsons Station, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cody Cheatham of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Kenneth and Maria Cheatham of Carterville, Andrew Cheatham and Lauren Cheatham both of Thompsons Station, Tennessee; great grandchild, Amelia Cheatham; step-son, Chris Hanley of Carterville; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Robert Woodard of Marion; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Liston Jent of St. Louis, Missouri, Gordon and Louise Bramlet of Louisville, Kentucky, Don and Carolyn Bramlet and Sue Bramlet all of Marion; and friends, Greg Talley and Jerry Reach. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dewey enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports.
