Dennis Duane Rees GOREVILLE-Dennis Duane Rees, 36, of Goreville passed away at 4:32 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2006 at St. Louis University Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Robert Schierbaum and Pastor R.G. Null officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM, Tuesday evening by Saline Masonic Lodge 339. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to his children for their college fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Duane was born on March 5, 1970 in Hamilton, Ohio to William and Darlene (Ballard) Rees. He married Misty Yarbor on May 7, 1991 at Ferne Cliffe State Park. Survivors include his wife; son, Dusty Rees; daughter, Echo Rees; son, Ezra Rees; father and step-mother, Bill and Sue Rees of Ocala, Florida; mother and step-father, Darlene and Rob Dutcher of Mooresville, North Carolina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Mae Yarbor of Goreville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Candy and Mike McCurdy of Marion; nephews, Cody and Zack McCurdy; aunt, Pam Ballard of Ohio; uncle and aunt, Jeff and Shelby Rees of Merrit Island, Florida; cousin, Naomi Rees; grandmother, Connie Rees of Orlando, Florida; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Rees; and grandparents, Edgar and Opal Ballard. Duane owned and operated Altered Shapes Gym in Goreville. He was a member of Saline Masonic Lodge 339. He attended the Apostolic House of Worship in Marion.
