Delores Tonner

Delores G. Tonner PITTSBURG-Delores G, Tonner, 74, of Pittsburg passed away at 7:35 AM, June 26, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Joe McRoy officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Tonner was born on July 3, 1931 in Scottsboro, Illinois to Howard and Mary Bell (Johnson) Norris. She married John E. “Papa John” Tonner on May 7, 1966 in Scottsboro, Illinois, together they shared 40 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, John of Pittsburg; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Irene Norris of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Johnnie Byrn of Crab Orchard; son, Tommy Mockerman of Pittsburg; son, Terry Mockerman of Kentucky; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; brother, Howard Norris, Jr.; and sister and brother-in-law, Jeanetta and Peter McRoy of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Mockerman; and sister, Betty Newbolds. Mrs. Tonner was a lifetime member of the Scottsboro Church of God and the Marion VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
