GOREVILLE: Delbert H Sullivan, 81, of Goreville passed away at 8:00 pm on Friday, September 2nd at Bridgemark Health Care in Energy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 at the 1st Apostolic Church in Marion with Reverend R.G. Walls officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, September 6th, from 5-8pm. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the 1st Apostolic Church in Marion; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411 Marion IL 62959. Mr. Sullivan was born October 16th, 1929 to Ray and Freeda, (Malaer), Sullivan. He married Naomi Robertson on May 27, 1950. They celebrated 61 years of marriage together. She precedes him in death. He is survived by; children, Eugene & Patsy Sullivan of Ellis Grove, Steve & Becky Sullivan of Belleville, Dennis & Judith Sullivan of Broken Arrow, OK and Sue & Rick Kelton of Marion; grandchildren, Eric & Terry Sullivan, John & Elizabeth Sullivan, Christy & Charles Cox, Melanie & Dale Rutland, Jared & Nicole Sullivan, Ryan & Christine Sullivan, Sarah Sullivan, Kareah Sullivan, Rachelle Sullivan, Christina and Gary Unthank and Rickey & Amber Kelton; great-grandchildren, Aiden Sullivan, Wyatt Sullivan, Katherine Sullivan, Cooper Sullivan, Courtney Cole, Gentry Rutland, Kylie Sullivan, Austin Kelton, Brayden Kelton, and Kaitlyn Unthank; sister, Geraldine and Chuck Gardner, brother Jackie Lee and Paula Sullivan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Pauline McNeely and brother Kenneth Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was a member of the 1st Apostolic Church in Marion and was a retired meat cutter. He loved to play music and sing and enjoyed time with all of his family.
