David Lowery

Creal Springs David Ray Lowery, 73 of Creal Springs, passed away at 8:50 AM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Marion Veterans Affairs Medical Center with family by his side. According to his wishes, Mr. Lowery will be cremated and his ashes shall be interred at the Creal Springs City Cemetery on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Barry Robertson officiating. Friends and family are asked to gather at the cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Veteran’s Affairs Community Living Center and may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Homes, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. David was born in Johnson County to William & Henretta (Tanner) Lowery on May 8, 1939. He is survived by his children, Brett Lowery & Bart Lowery of Creal Springs and Stephanie & Scott Hall of Marion; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emily, Ashton, Weston, Charly, Kileah, Peyton and Blake; siblings, Robbie Upchurch, Kay Lowery and Ben & Barb Lowery; several nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Lowery was a veteran of the US Navy; having served from 1956-1960. He loved farming, his horses and livestock, being outdoors and gardening. David was a lifetime member of the Creal Springs VFW.
