David Duane Covey Marion— David Duane Covey, 35, passed away at 10:22 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. A memorial service in David’s honor will be on Thursday, August 4, 2011 starting at 10 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to David’s children c/o Patricia Covey; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. David was born December 30, 1975 in Marion to James & Lillian (Koehler) Covey, Sr. He married Patricia “Trish” Wyatt on October 14, 2000. He was a maintenence supervisor for Shawnee Enterprises. Survivors include his parents, Jim & Lillian Covey, Sr. of Simpson; wife, Trish Covey and children, Alton & Duane all of Crab Orchard; brothers, Eddie & Melinda Covey of Ark., Jim & Leah Covey, Jr. of Marion; sisters, Debbie & Russell Kerley and Tammy & Billy Newton all of Ozark, Becky & Shannon Morton of TN; nieces and nephews, Lily Covey, Christopher & Desiree Covey, Brandi & Nick Richardson, Trey Kerley, Kav Kerley, Brittany Dixon and Angie Newton; mother-in-law, Jean Wyatt; sisters-in-law, Peggy Griffith & Pam Muir; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Wyatt & Cliff Wyatt. David also has a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Paul Covey. David attended and graduated from New Simpson Grade School and Vienna High School. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and hunting. He was a member of the Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard. David loved his family, the Lord and his Church.
