Darlene Clare Cedar

Marion- Darlene Clare Cedar, age 81, of Marion, passed away at 12:55pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Herrin Hospital.

Darlene was born on April 25, 1940 in Chicago, the daughter of Al Stanley and Clare (Paszkiet) Dolezich. She married Fred Charles Cedar on August 30, 1958 at St. Augustine Church in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2021.

Son-David Charles and Katherine Cedar of Marion

Son-Michael Alan and Kim Cedar of Herriman, UT

Son-Robert Joseph Cedar of La Porte, IN

Son-Scott Arthur Cedar of Marion

Son-Kenneth James and Terri Cedar of Herrin

15 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren 

Brother-in-law- Richard Walsh of FL

Brother-in-law- Gus Cedar of SC

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters- Alice Koleno and Audrey Walsh. 

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
