Daphane Colette Norman

Marion-Daphane Colette Norman, 81, passed away at 5:46pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Colette was born on May 10, 1934 in Marion to Oscar and Ruth (Hill) Roberts.  She attended school in Marion.  Colette married Charles G. Norman on September 14, 1951.  He preceded her in death on February 22, 2005. She was a military home maker and lived all over the world.  Colette worked at various occupations where her husband was stationed.  She was an inspirational prayer warrior for family and friends. Colette was loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and pets. She formerly attended Abundant Life Assembly of God and Community of Faith Church. Survivors include children: Allan and Mauri Norman of Savannah, GA; Charlie and Toni Norman of Marion; Barry and Lynn Norman of Chapin, SC; Diane Vaughan of Columbia, MD; Doug and Dora Norman of Catonsville, MD; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Colette was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Argel Roberts and sister, Juanita McClanahan Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Dean Dutton officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will also be on Friday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
