Dale Bernas

Dale Bernas MARION-Dale Bernas, 76, of Marion passed away at 11:30 PM, Monday, April 23, 2007 at the V. A. Medical Center in Marion. As per Dale’s personal wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Bernas was born on May 28, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Bessie (Whitehorn) Bernas. He married Lorene Williams on February 4, 1967 in Chicago; she preceded him in death on July 24, 2000. Survivors include sister and brother-in-law, Norene and Richard Bertz of Arlington Heights; nieces and nephew, David and Kathy Bertz and Claudia Bertz; great nieces, Nicole and Carly Bertz; and special friend, Juanita Edgell. He was preceded in death on by his parents and his wife. Mr. Bernas worked as a locksmith for many years. He served his country with the United States Air Force.
