Cynthia Lynn Hayes MARION - Cynthia Lynn Hayes, 57, of Marion passed away at 1:27 PM, Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 2, 2008 at Spillertown Baptist Church with Reverend Edward “Shorty” Alsip and Reverend Larry Stewart officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Cynthia was born September 30, 1950 in Rossville, Illinois to Ira and Mildred (Quillen) Williams. Survivors include her husband, Edward J. Hayes of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Jeri Slavin of Tab, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and John Strawser of Rosiclare; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Misty Slavin of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Terry Tucker of Brookport; fourteen grandchildren; her mother, Mildred Williams of Hoopeston; and brother and sister-in-law, Verne and Phyliss Williams of Bourbonnais. She was preceded in death by her father. Cynthia was an active member of Spillertown Baptist Church. She was recently a graduate of John A. Logan College in Medical Management and had been formerly employed with Homeland Security and a Medical Clinic in Virginia.
