Cornelia Allgaier

September 22, 1955 — January 10, 2015

Marion-Cornelia Sue Allgaier, 59, passed away peacefully at 8pm on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her children and loved ones.  She was a Christian and looked forward to meeting her Savior. Connie was born September 22, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Everett and Julie (Testa) Allgaier. Connie took care of everyone she came in contact with and made it her career caring for the elderly.  Her passion was family, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.  Being with them was her joy. Connie is survived by her parents, Everett and Julie Allgaier of Marion; children, Danielle Allgaier of Marion, Shawn Stacy (Lisa) of Marion, Shanda Stacy of Johnston City, Daniel and Michelle Leonberger of AZ and Heather Stacy of Carrier Mills; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Alphonse (Tammy) Allgaier and Peter (Sharon) Allgaier; sister, Tina Abney of Marion; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; brother, James and nephew, Erick It was Connie’s wishes to donate her body to science.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Cedar Grove United Methodist at 5pm.  Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 3pm until the time of the service at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL  62959.
