Cindy Sue Robertson Tunnel Hill—Cindy Sue Robertson, 51, of Tunnel Hill left this life on Thursday, December 8, 2011 in St. Louis University Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Robertson will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Visitation will precede the funeral service starting at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is in charge of arrangements. Cindy was born on Thursday, November 10, 1960 in Urbana to George & Mary (King) Lessenberry. She married Robert Robertson on Saturday, July 16, 1988 in Paducah KY; they shared almost 23 ½ years together. Cindy is survived by: her loving and devoted husband, Robert Robertson of Tunnel Hill; sister, Mary Cary of Tunnel Hill; step-father William Craig of Elkhart IN; step-sisters,Cathy Mueller and husband Rick of Jerseyville, Nancy Schmidt, Rebecca Haremaker and husband Duffy of Clinton, IL,; step-brother John W Craig and wife Jane, ; half-sisters Laura Dillman and husband Mark of Champaign IL and Valerie Lessenberry of Ogden IL, ; aunt, Carolyn Henson of Visalia, CA and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Mary; step-father, T. Lee Cary; infant children, Brandon & Brandy Cary and brothers, Terry L. Lessenberry and George Lessenberry. Cindy’s giant heart and love of children lead her to the calling of fostering children. She opened her home and heart to several children in need, providing love and care for those blessed to have been placed with her and Robert.
