Christina K. Baker-Whitehead MARION- 8220;Christina K. Baker-Whitehead, 24, of Marion passed away at 10:12 PM, Friday, April 25, 2008 in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Eddie Donelson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to her children’s education fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Christina was born on October 31, 1983 in Herrin, Illinois to Reverend Deon and Angela (Davis) Baker. She married Dustin Whitehead on September 17, 2005 at the Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church; and he survives of Marion. Survivors include her husband, Dustin; daughters, London Whitehead and Laila Whitehead; son Landon Whitehead; her parents, Reverend Deon and Angela Baker; sister, Keshia Baker all of Marion; grandparents, Ron and Norma Baker, Francis Davis, and Kennth Davis all of Marion; mother-in-law, Dana and husband Doug Marlow of Marion; father-in-law Dennis and wife Kim Whitehead of Carrier Mills; her husband’s grandparents Leo and Virginia Whitehead and Jim and JoAnn Nicholson all of Marion; her husbands great-grandmother, Evelyn Black of Marion; brother-in-law, David Whitehead serving in Iraq; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Christina was a loving wife and mother who loved raising her children, taking care of her family, talking to her sister, and spending time with all of her family and friends. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
