Charles W. “Charlie” Denosky
MARION-Charles W. “Charlie” Denosky, 57, of Marion passed away at 6:47 PM, Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Brother Jon Pickens officiating. Visitation will from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Belknap. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by Marion VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147. Mr. Denosky was born October 17, 1949 in Herrin, Illinois to John Charles and Betty Rosalie (Brown) Denosky. He married Kathie Ridings on September 20, 1974 in Herrin; together they shared 32 years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife Kathie of Marion; sons and daughter-in-law, Bryan L, and Nicole Denosky of Louisville, Kentucky and David A. Denosky of Herrin; daughter, Angela K. Denosky of Marion; his mother, Rosalie Denosky of Hurst; brother and sister-in-law, John R. and Cheryl Denosky of Royalton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Margie Ridings of Ferges; and his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, “Eddie”.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Denosky was employed by the United States Postal Service for many years, retiring in 2002 as postal supervisor. He served his country with the United States Navy onboard the USS Wasp Aircraft Carrier during the Vietnam War. He was the founder of Writers Unlimited, a website for aspiring writers. He was an avid Cardinal Baseball Fan and he loved to play Texas Hold âEm Poker.
He loved to spend time with his family and will be missed by all.
