Charles W. “Chuck” Boyt, Jr. MARION-Charles W. “Chuck” Boyt, Jr., 54, of Marion passed away at 9:20 PM, Friday, October 2, 2009 at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 5, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Kevin McNeely officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Chuck was born on January 31, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles W. and Thelma (Phillips) Boyt. Survivors include his parents, Thelma and J.W. Durham of Marion; sister, Vickie Blandford of Marion; niece, Angelina and Colby Thompson; great nephews, Alex Goodman, and Gage, Sam and Ben Thompson; and aunts and uncles, Versa Vranconnier, Christine Hatcher, Bessie Parker, Mary Ann and Bobby Dotson and James Phillips. He was preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law, Ron Blandford; and grandmother, Ollie Phillips. Chuck was an avid sports fan and he loved music.
