Charles Michael Tobin MARION-Charles Michael Tobin, 72, of Marion passed away at 9:22 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Family Members officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the funeral home. Charles was born January 11, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Michael and Eileen (Mc Ginnley) Tobin. Survivors include his children, Charlene Marie Tobin of Naperville, Illinois; Timothy Michael Tobin of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Denise Ellen Tobin of Oak Forest, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Coleen Anne Tobin; and sister, Patricia Biederstadt. Charles retired as a truck driver for R. C. Cola. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was an Amvets volunteer and a member of VFW Post 1301 in Marion, a member of the American Legion Post 147 in Marion, and a member of the Marion Eagles. Charles was of the Catholic faith. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by all.
