Charles Ice

Sebring, FL-Charles Ice, 89, formerly of West Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Sebring, Fl. Charles was born on August 6, 1929 in Murphysboro to Marion and Eula (Peterson) Ice. He married D. Madeline Winder and she preceded him in death on August 10, 1968. Charles was in the U.S. Air Force and served in Korea. He was of Church of Christ Faith, a retired teacher and loved being in Sebring spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter-Twylla Fettis of Sebring, FL One grandson and five great grandchildren Sister-Ruby Drew Two nieces and two nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Madeline and brother, Gilbert Ice. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Bill Brandstatter officiating. Burial will follow at Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Military Rites will be performed by the Marion VFW with assistance from the USAF. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
