Charles Clark

June 23, 1933 — June 9, 2014

Herrin-Charles W. Clark (Charlie) 80 passed away Monday June 9, 2014 at 12:25pm at his home following a brave battle with cancer. Charlie was born June 23, 1933 in East St. Louis IL to his parents Allen & Diecasa (Reed) Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Genevie in October 2004. Charlie was also preceded in death by all of his siblings, several nieces and nephews as well as a grandson, Jeffrey Eddy and a great granddaughter, Kaylynn Price. Survivors include seven children, Ellen and Dale Akens, Tena Becker, Charles (Western) and Marsha Clark, Sheila Jackson, Kenney and Jana Clark, Willie and Sheila Clark, and David Clark. Charlie was a wonderful grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. It was Charlie’s wishes to be cremated with no public services. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with their arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to the St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL 62959.
