MARION-Charlene Tiner Alsip, 64, of Marion passed away at 6:15 PM, Sunday, June 27, 2004 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Spillertown Baptist Church with Reverend. Bob Nolen officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be at McKinney Chapel Cemetery south of Marion Mrs. Alsip was born on November 23, 1939 in Lexington, Tennessee to Erbie and Elsie Mae (Reeves) Duke. She married Edward "Shorty" Alsip on August 31, 1957 in Corinth, Mississippi and he survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Sherry and John Lazorachak of Johnston City; sons, Keith and Becky Alsip of Marion and Ricky Alsip of Marion; grandchildren, Hannah Lazorchak, Joshua Lazorchak, Matthew Alsip and Abigail Alsip; sisters, Thelma Montgomery of Jackson, TN, Peggy Davis of Lexington, TN and Diane Coleman of Decatur, AL; brothers, Lois Duke of Parsons, TN, Billy Duke of Lexington, TN and Bobby Duke of Lexington, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Charles Montgomery. Mrs. Alsip and her husband pastored Spillertown Baptist Church for 20 years. She was also a member of the Williamson County Home Extension. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother
