A Life Remembered

Cedrick Lemar Marshall was born at Herrin Hospital, in Herrin, IL on Wednesday March 18, 1987. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2019 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, IL. He received his GED. Cedrick loved hosting cookouts for his family and friends he actually thought he was The Master Chef Ced. Until his younger cousin asked him “Ced you done BURNT all the Meat up AGAIN!!” Cedrick enjoyed life spending his time with family and friends. He also loved fishing and cooking. Cedrick truly exhibited what it meant to turn the other cheek found in the scripture Matthew 5: 38-48 as a Man of God. Cedrick had his own personal relationship with Abba. Cedrick, over the past few months even unto death, spoke about a new home for his family. Cedrick is a winner; he received his new eternal home not made by man. We Win in Christ Jesus. Cedrick had a heart of gold he truly loved Lisa Fiaccato, the mother of his two beautiful daughters, Kalea Marshall and Lariah Marshall. Cedrick leaves to cherish his daughters, Kalea Marshall and Lariah Marshall, his father Johnny Harris Sr (Cynthia), his siblings Marcus Marshall, Johnny Harris Jr (Crista), Sarah Lee (Larry), Phylicia Rashard Cole, Nawarrion Valentino Taylor II, Tristen Mckern and Isiah Harris. Raised like siblings Bubby Neal, Shaun Neal, DaTreal Neal, Tori Neal, LaRon Phillips (Kenyata), Celesta Bowers (JB), Zelman Marshall, Jr., maternal grandfather Joe Marshall (Ann) ,Special Aunt/Mother Jewell Marshall, Special Uncles  John A Marshall,  Brian W. Marshall (Teresa), Paul E Marshall Sr, Special Cousins Cuzzin Lady (Billy), Cousin/Godmother Jamie Johnson,  Cousin Peppy Kincaid (Emily), Brittany Allard, Storm Marshall, Bethany Pickens, Dear friend Rene Mcelrath (Tim) ,Great Aunt Johnnie Moore. He was the 3rd generation nephew to Aunt Estella Green (Eugene), Aunt Della Marshall, Uncle Johnny McNeil & Uncle Jimmy Kincaid a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and a number of special people he was privileged to have as friends. He was proceed in death by his mother Marla Vaughn, maternal grandmother Vicki Marshall, maternal great grandmother Alice Stover, maternal great great great, grandmother Viola McNeil, maternal great great grandmother Wilma McNeil, Geneva Shockley, Rose Ann Marshall, maternal great grandfather John Twitty, Robert Wells,Willie Marshall, paternal grandparents Larce and Sarah Mitchell and a host of Angels , who welcomed him on board. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Norman Owens, Pastor Virgil Walton, Minister Michael Owens and Pastor Jason McKinnes officiating. Burial will follow at Dewmaine Cemetery in Colp.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cedrick’s daughters c/o John Marshall and will be accepted at the funeral home.
