Casey Saffelder MARION-Casey Saffelder, 18, of Marion passed away at 6:31 PM, Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 22, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion with Reverend Richard G. Mohr officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Survivors include her son, Javan K. Walston; the love of her life, Zac Walston of Marion; brother, Noah Saffelder of Marion; mother, Audrey Saffelder of Marion; father and step-mother, Neil and Karen Saffelder of Marion; maternal grandparents, Jim and Judy Thompson of Marion; paternal grandmother, Cleta “Granny” Saffelder of Marion; aunts and uncles, Gayle and Scott Phelps, Carmen and Ron Rinella and Scott Saffelder all of Marion; and cousins, Shelby and Connor Phelps, Nic Rinella and Cory and Scott Brown. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, J.N. Saffelder; maternal great grandmother, Lucille Eatherton; and uncle, Russ Saffelder. Casey was a 2006 graduate from Marion High School and was currently attending John A. Logan College. She worked at Bennie’s Italian Restaurant in Marion. She was a very loving mother to her son. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. “No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye, You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.”
