Carolyn Fowler

Marion-Carolyn Fowler, 78, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on April 26, 1940 in Marion to Leo and Pearl (Whitecotton) Followell. She married Loran Fowler on October 3, 1959 at First Baptist Church in Marion. Carolyn and Loran started and successfully ran Fowler Heating and Cooling since 1979. She was a secretary for Third Baptist Church for many years.  Carolyn was a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church and a member of Beta Sigma Phi.  She enjoyed going to their cabin in Golconda and Florida and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Husband-Loran Fowler of Marion Children: Steve and Shari Fowler of Marion Allen and Stacey Fowler of Marion Grandchildren: Katie Fowler-Hawkins and Robert Hawkins of Marion Kerie Moore and Jeni Moore of Marion Clay Fowler of Marion Jackson Fowler of Marion Krystal Black (Travis) of Murphysboro Nathan Pierce of Marion Great grandchildren-Ryne, River, Julian, Brayden, Boston, Anden and Nolen Sister-Vicki Baker (Dick) of Marion Brother-Roger Followell (Lynn) of Marion Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey Alan Fowler and sister, Sharon Wall. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:30am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Larry Shacklee and Rev. Mike Hood officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 10, from 5pm-9pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Scottsboro Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
